Helpful Maintenance Tips
Fuel
.  Nearly 75% of engine problems have to do with fuel.  Fuel begins to separate after
   2 weeks
.  Add fuel stabilizer to extend the fuel life by 6 months at fill up.
.  Change fuel filter and water separator every year.
.  Check prop blades often-bent blades will cause 5-15% increase in fuel consumption/
   performance.
.  Clean your spark arrestor (carburetor filter) annually.

Battery
.  Never start engine without a fully charged battery.  If disconnected, a battery will keep 
   charged for approximately 6 months.
.  Watch out for pre-programmed stereo!  They can draw at least 1 to 2 amps a day.
.  EFI and the larger 2 and four stroke outboards take a minimum battery size of 650
   CCA's.

Oil/grease/filters
.  Change oil/filter at least once a year regardless of use if have an outdrive or lower 
   gearcase
   change at least once a year too!
.  Grease prop shaft make sure you have the prop nut set to proper torque.

 .  EXTEND THE LIFE OF YOUR ENGINE by preventing overheating: change 
     your  impeller every 2 years or 100 hours!
